The $2T global telecom industry was built for humans. Agents can't act in the real world today because without a phone number, they have no identity. AgentPhone gives every AI agent its own phone number to reach people and businesses through messages and calls.

Manav Modi drove the Vogue app revamp from 100k to 1M users, showing mobile product execution at scale. Neither LinkedIn is available for deeper verification, and no previous exits, but the Meta WhatsApp infra background is genuinely relevant to this problem.

Twilio, Bandwidth, and Vonage already provide programmable telephony APIs and could trivially extend to AI agent use cases. OpenAI and Anthropic could bundle this. Smaller players like Bland.ai, Retell AI, and Vapi already do AI voice calling with phone numbers baked in. The moat here is very unclear — this is essentially a Twilio reseller layer with AI branding.

The core thesis — AI agents need phone identity — is real, but the execution moat is nearly nonexistent. Twilio, Vonage, and dedicated AI voice platforms (Bland, Retell, Vapi) already solve this problem. Meet Modi's Meta/WhatsApp infra background is the best signal here and is legitimately relevant, but without visible product, customers, or differentiation from existing telecom APIs, this looks like an infrastructure wrapper with no defensibility. No press, no traction data, and no product visibility make it impossible to assess whether they've found a wedge that incumbents haven't. Needs to show either a hard technical moat or rapid customer traction to graduate out of C tier.
